Emendo Consulting Group - Human Expertise, Visible

At Emendo, hiring was a bottleneck. Growth ambitions were high, projects were waiting, but the company simply didn’t have enough people. The reason wasn’t lack of skill - it was visibility. Talented consultants had little idea what Emendo actually did or what it felt like to work there. Many great candidates slipped away, and the company had to turn down projects because teams were understaffed.
We set out to change that. The challenge was clear: how do you attract top talent in a highly competitive, technical industry when your brand is invisible?
What I Did.
The Challenge
Emendo was growing fast, but hiring couldn’t keep up. Projects were waiting, clients needed expertise, and yet the company struggled to attract the right talent. New consultants often joined with little understanding of what the company actually did, and potential candidates had trouble grasping Emendo’s culture, values, and growth opportunities.
In a competitive market for pharma, biotech, and life science talent, this lack of clarity meant top candidates were slipping away, and the company sometimes had to say no to projects simply because there weren’t enough people to staff them.
The challenge was clear: how could we make Emendo’s work, people, and values visible - in a way that resonates with purpose-driven, selective talent?
Research & Human Insight
We began with research. Interviews with newly hired consultants revealed two critical truths:
Limited awareness: Most new hires didn’t understand Emendo’s mission or the work the company does - even after joining.
Culture matters: Understanding the company’s culture and values was essential for candidates deciding where to work. They wanted to see whether professional and personal growth would be supported.
We also looked at the bigger picture. Reports from PwC (2022) and Deloitte’s Global Human Capital Trends confirmed a global trend: millennials and Gen Z professionals choose jobs not just for salary, but for purpose. They care deeply about whether a company aligns with their values, contributes to society, and acts sustainably.
These insights made one thing clear: to hire the right people, Emendo needed to become visible, human, and values-driven.
The Core Creative Idea
“Human Expertise, Visible: Show the People, Values, and Culture Behind the Company.”
The concept was simple but strategic: put people at the center of employer branding. Instead of talking about processes, technical skills, or services, we communicated through stories, values, and experiences. Every touchpoint would make candidates feel connected, understood, and inspired - long before they submitted an application.
We translated the concept into four content formats, each rooted in insight and designed to speak to today’s value-driven talent:
Concept Development & Execution
1. Welcoming Posts
Each new hire was introduced with a photo, personal anecdote, and professional background. This not only made new employees feel celebrated but also showcased the growing breadth of expertise within the company.
2. Consultant Profiles
Deep interviews revealed why people chose Emendo, how they grew professionally and personally, and what working at the company meant to them. These posts built authenticity, aspirational connection, and trust.
3. Culture Videos
Short interviews highlighted core company values in action. Candidates could see the culture rather than just read about it, understanding how Emendo’s principles guided day-to-day work.
4. Sustainability & Social Initiatives - Beyond Emendo
Today’s talent cares about purpose. We showcased volunteer work, sustainability projects, and social impact initiatives. This reinforced the alignment between the company’s values and the values of prospective hires.
Dedicated Webpage
To make the employer branding concept tangible and accessible at scale, we developed a dedicated “Our People” webpage: emendo.com/people.
This page served as the central hub for human-first storytelling, translating the insight that candidates need to see the people, culture, and values behind the company into a digital experience:
Employee Stories - Consultant’s profile highlighted their professional background, personal growth, and motivations for joining Emendo.
Culture & Values - The page showcased how core company values are lived daily, providing transparency and authenticity.
Career Insights - Visitors could see how the company invests in personal and professional development, reinforcing Emendo as a place for growth.
By consolidating these stories in one accessible online hub, the webpage extended the concept beyond social media, offering candidates a holistic view of life at Emendo and strengthening the brand’s credibility and appeal.
Impact & Why This Concept Worked
The results were immediate and measurable:
60+ new hires across Denmark, Germany, and the United States, filling critical project roles.
Improved engagement score by 1.6 points on the recruitment platform - meaning candidates connected more deeply with the company and aligned better with its culture.
Emendo’s brand visibility and credibility increased, turning an invisible pharma consultancy into a company that people wanted to work for.
By basing the concept on real insights - interviews with employees and globally recognized research on talent behavior - we built a solution that was not just visually appealing, but strategically grounded and human-first.
